An economics course helped Najeer Patil discover an interest in business.
Now, in addition to pursuing his lifelong goal of becoming a doctor, the first-year human physiology major from Portland is adding a business minor because he may start his own company one day. As the finance vice president for the UO chapter of the American Marketing Association, he’s well on his way.
“The UO is great because it offers so many opportunities for success and helps you out with everything you need to prepare for the future,” he says.
However, if not for scholarships, Najeer doubts he could have come to the UO.
His message to donors: “Thank you so much for making it possible for me to go the University of Oregon. For thousands of students, your donation makes the difference between joining the University of Oregon and giving up their hopes of getting a degree.”
